No more counting sheep!

Slept on my own brand new mattress last night and let me tell you, WELL worth the money. Not sure how it treated Dave's back but I slept like a log. We (mostly myself) cleaned and rearranged our room, not to mention cleaning off the drool streaks off the walls.... GROSS!!! Why is that I end up having to clean up all the nasty stuff, including the worlds largest turds in the yard? Guess I'd rather do that than not have them at all, right? So now none of the animals besides the cat can even get on the bed which is a very good thing, a full sized pit bull stepping on your full bladder or foot isn't the best way for a wake up call.

I hate dentist appts!!! Yesterday I had that deep root cleaning, whoever thought that was necessary should be admitted. It was torture! Granted I took some happy pills before hand but dont think that they actually did any good, especially when you get three injections just for the upper teeth and then another three because the first ones didn't numb you all the way. And so many people say that the grinding and scraping is the worst part, but you know, the shots are the zinger. Now I have to go through another two hour appt just to get the other side done! Ugh!

I have finally finished the last two cakes for the time being at least. They turned out better than expected too, I purchased some very animated looking rubber duckies, even a monkey one for the jungle cake. Aren't they cute? Sorry the color is darker than the first one, I took this at night.

Second Try

The idea came from googling for something out of the ordinary for a baby shower for my sister in CA and came upon some "diaper cakes", I had no where to start but with the examples I've seen so the first one that I made was of froggies. It didn't turn out that bad actually for my first but I don't think I'm going to post it just because it needed a little more work. This one on the other hand was a HIT at the baby shower. Pink and brown together is so adorable.

First Attempt

hello.... this is my first attempt at blogging so bear with me. I have started this blog to start sharing my life and learn things about myself within a relationship. I will be posting pictures of diaper cakes that I have done for family and friends and hope to be able to make a very small business out of it. Feel free to let me know if you would like one made, either generic or extravagant, they are the talk of the shower every time.
